Read “A nice story about a master networker. After students have read the short story, break students into groups of 2-3 students. Ask them to discuss. Give them 2 minutes to discuss and then have them share out.
People love to talk about themselves. If you can get people to talk about themselves, they will think very highly of you. In this lesson students will learn how to direct a conversation toward other people’s interests.
PRINT– One for Each Student. Start by reading the handout from the book stop thinking like an employee.
PRINT-One for Each Group of 2(Approximately 20) Break the class into groups of two and have students practice engaging their partner in conversation. Student A will ask the questions on the list and student B will answer. After 3-5 minutes have students switch and repeat the process.
